A few Canadians on here have done it, and after the transaction is complete, it showed up on their FordPass that they had extended warranty. The only difference with getting warranty work done in Canada is that the dealer has to call the 1-800 to get authorization to do the repair, since it is not a Canadian plan, but they cannot deny the plan as it is OEM.
Zeigler mailed me a copy of the contract to keep in my glove box so beware. When contacting Zeigler, if that's who you want, just ask them about a Canada owner.

I was thinking of selling the truck before warranty expires, with so many potential issues. I already had several, including APIM/Sync3, turbos rattling (fixed by me with springs for now), clunky leaf springs (also fixed by me with rubber spacers), moonroof creaking/banging, etc. Problem is I'd lose tens of thousands of dlls selling now, which I'd have to shell out to buy another vehicle (which wouldn't be a truck anymore), so I'm thinking of buying the ESP for the truck for the first time in my life. The only reason I'm even considering it is because it's backed by Ford. Called Zeigler and they said prices go up at 12K, 24K, and 36K miles. Since my truck just passed 13K yesterday, I can wait until I'm closer to warranty expiring or close to hitting 24K miles, and should have the same price.

My question to the masses is what exactly is the difference between the ESP and BTB warranty. I HATE when these kinds of policies are not exclusionary, since they can include thousands of items, but you never know what the hell they're excluding, since the vehicles has many times as many components. I much rather see what's excluded, rather than included. Anyway, Zeigler said if you include the lighting package (which I would), ESP would only exclude cosmetic issues, like paint defects, warped dashes, etc. Maintenance items are always excluded even by BTB warranties, especially after 1 year, so not an issue to me. Does anybody know if there're more exclusions than that? Like some electronic components, etc? Thanks gang.

Still have 1-1/4 years left of the 3/36 warranty, with 13K miles. Just checked the 8/100 package with $200 deductible and lighting package, and it'd be $1,485.00. With $100 deductible it'd be $1,680. Also wonder what would be the smartest choice, given the fact I detest dealers, so I'd only take the truck if I have no other choice. And that I might not keep the truck that long, but the ESP is transferable ($75 fee), and also partially (pro-rated) refundable ($75 fee, plus if you had any claims). Thanks.
