You folks are real lucky when it comes to rates you can negotiate for Ford's ESP! Here in Florida, we have this IDIOTIC INSURANCE LEGISLATION that prohibits any dealer of any motor vehicles or PWC from discounting even a single penny off the ESP. When comparing the exact same plan as my $1,520 with a a NYC address, it came to $940 so yes, you folks still can enjoy the benefits of fair competition.
Regardless, it's a no-brainer. Also be mindful of adding the additional Interior/ Exterior Lighting $20, which covers all LED lights. One BLIS LED taillight alone (a non-servicable part) cost just under $900 - the price of the entire premium.
Additional benefits are that you can transfer the policy if you sell your truck before its expiry; If you you haven't used the benefits of your ESP and you don't sell the ESP with your truck you can apply for a prorated refund from Ford.
Of course we have the factory warranty but I'm certain that when things start to need replacement, it is NOT going to be in the first 3 years...

They were roughly $100 more than Flood, so essentially the same $.
I had good service from Flood was very easy process.

Appears $50 cheaper, not $100 more. (quoted example comparison)

PremiumCARE Contract
  • $100 Deductible
  • 7 Years
  • 75,000 Miles Coverage
  • -Vehicle does not have 4x4 or AWD
$1,055.00 Total: $1,055.00 (Flood Ford)
$1,005.00 Total: $1,005.00 (Zeigler Ford)

And if I change my mind, the warranty is transferable to the next owner, or prorated refundable.
If I may ask, what did you pay for that awesome coverage sir??

I got the 8 year, 100k ESP with enhanced rental/ lighting & key service for $1870, almost 2 years ago from Flood. To me it`s just worth the peace of mind.

Does anyone know of any deals in Canada? When I bought my truck it was crazy expensive. Would definitely buy it if it was reasonably priced.

You can buy from Flood, you just need a US address. Get a US mailbox. From what I understand, they don't even mail you anything.

A few Canadians on here have done it, and after the transaction is complete, it showed up on their FordPass that they had extended warranty. The only difference with getting warranty work done in Canada is that the dealer has to call the 1-800 to get authorization to do the repair, since it is not a Canadian plan, but they cannot deny the plan as it is OEM.
