Default Engineering Test Mode

I'm trying to get into Engineering Test Mode to adjust my AFE bias. I've followed the instructions holding down "ok" then starting while continuing to hold "ok" but nothing happens. I have a TPMS fault message though, could this be preventing engineering test mode from coming up?

Hold OK for 5 seconds, then start while continuing to press OK.

Yep...doesn't work. Only thing I can think of is the TPMS fault is blocking it somehow because it pops up as soon as the truck starts.

When I tried to get into test mode and an error message popped up blocking the screen I held the OK button down and pressed the up, down, left & right buttons and I was able to get it to come up. It might take a few tries. Be sure to hold the OK button for at least 5 seconds before turning the key to on. You don't have to start it, it just has to be turned to on while holding the OK button down.

Thanks. Although I can get the error message to go away by pressing the up button while holding down ok I still can't get it into the test mode. I tried the other direction arrows as well but the up button was the only one that dismissed the alert. Guess I'll have to wait until after I decide to replace the TPMS sensors and try again.

You don't need to start engine to get into Eng mode, just hold the OK button turn key or push button to on position but not run. The only error I ever had on start up was the oil change message and it was easy to get past that message and into eng. mode.

I've found that if you get in, close the door, press the OK button and count to 5, then keep holding it while you start the truck you will get engineering mode every time. Starting the truck doesn't hurt anything and it eliminates the "full accessory power" and "press to start" messages.
