I wouldn't compare auto manufacturers based on whether the independent dealership gives you a loaner or not.

The dealer never verbally told me that loaner is not included, Shame on me, All other dealers I have bought from did have a loaner. Mercedes also gives loaners for even oil changes.

Just seems like another way for the dealer to push you into an upsale...
My experience has been the same... I haven't needed to get a loaner with my current truck but at my last dealer they gave a loaner anytime your truck was kept overnight (only downside was it was a Toyota Camry). The big Dealer here in city (population 89k) will give you a loaner IF you bought from them...otherwise you were on your own

As for the extended warranty, check Flood Ford. 5Yr, 125K miles for approx. 800.00, includes a 10 day loaner.
Already has paid for it self as mine was in the shop for a month and Ford paid for the loaner the whole time

Yes I do feel like this is a way to strong arm you into getting an extended warranty! Im just so upset, I feel like taking my loses, selling my truck and buying anything but a FORD. When you pay $47.000 for a Vehicle, one just expects more.

The price of the vehicle is 100% irrelevant. You paid for the vehicle, not the dealership's service. If the loaner car wasn't guaranteed, don't expect it. This discussion comes up a lot.

It's a big decision to move away from an auto maker just because you didn't get a loaner. Whether or not you get a loaner has nothing to do with the quality of the vehicle itself.

I'm not sure what you want, friend. Just to vent or bash Ford on here, I guess?

Has nothing to do with strong arming you into an extended warranty. It is simply an additional perk the extended warranty provides.

I was told that if I had purchased an Extended Warranty a Rental car would have been provided? How does one shop around for the best price for an extended warranty through ford? I not really happy with Ford right now, and not sure if I will ever purchase another. Was really close to buying my second car, was looking at the Ford Explorer but now having second thoughts, any suggestions?
Try the search feature for information on buying the extended warranty. I know its been discussed a few times. I'd shop for the best price then give your dealer a chance to match that price.
