About the only place Ford says not to ground to is the frame. Doing so will promote corrosion between the steel frame and the aluminum body. The ground beside the BCM that you have circled is, as said, a perfect spot. Just make sure you keep it clean and get it tight after you install your new ground.

That is silly. Ford does not say that at all. There are already multiple grounds attached to the frame from the factory. Here's one - the factory cable (black / purple trace) is on the left, my 1/0 power cable ground is on the right.
Again, this is a factory ground point on the frame:
To the OP - how much current are you planning to pull through the ground? That spot you picked may have too small of a cable to support your intended application.

Bman, how did you run the ground to the frame? There isn't a good enough ground inside the cab of my 2019 f150, my amp goes into protect mode constantly. 3,000 watt amp 4 gauge wire.
