Default Does the backseat lock in the down position?

I swear my backseat used to lock in the down position when I messed with it the past, but I just lifted it, eye balling ideas for sub and amp placements, and when I went to lower it back down, it did not lock. I messed around with it for 5 min and said screw it. I got a 2017 XLT Screw. This was the driver (bigger) side. My passenger one has the child's seat on it so I haven't lifted that one yet. Thanks.

Does it bounce around when going off-road? It doesn't seem heavy.

So it doesn't lock, weird. I swear I had to release that handle on the underside, but maybe I just assumed it was unlocking but was unlocked the whole time. Also, I haven't noticed it bouncing or anything, so that's good. Thanks.

If you unlocked the back and did not reposition the latch correctly the seat bottom won’t lock. Found this out the hard way myself. I’d suggest YouTube to see the correct way to get it to latch. Good luck, mine was a bugger.
