FYI - I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but you can't report a successful update to 2.3 via the website. It has to be done over wifi.

Just found out by calling FOMO after multiple failed attempts to run the update online.

I had the same problem. After upgrading to 2.3, I also tried to report online but got an unsuccessful message. Looks like an error in the ford website; when I selected the xml file on the usb drive it was adding " c:\fakepath\ to the file location to upload, which you could not edit. I even created the c:\fakepath folder & put a copy of the xml file there but same error.

I tried the wifi route this evening. Checked for software update. It took about 2 minutes to report back today's date and that it had checked.

Went to the desktop and logged into ford owner and it did not update to 2.3. Still showing 2.2 from January.

Tried again on the website to upload the xml file and got the unsuccessful notification. Wonder why it is showing the fake path? And you can't overwrite the path to correct it.

Check for update from the Sync3 interface on the vehicle. It will log your successful update into the website.

I assume that you speaking to me. I did specifically that as noted in the post above. The 2.3 update is not reflected on the website, just the 2.2.

Other than future updates being available, I don't know how important it is anyway.

About a week after I updated to 2.3 the ford owner site finally showed I had 2.3. I never did a manual check for updates over wifi, so at some point it does report back on it's own.

got an err01 message when trying to update last night. re-formatted the thumb drive and redownloaded the 2.3 update from ford, will try again on the way to work. 32gb usb3, exFAT, may have to try another drive.

This happened to me when I upgraded to v2.2 back when it was officially released. I ended up calling ford and had to send my file through an email. They had to upload it to my file online for me as it would not let me do it.

I have a 2016 Lariat that I have been trying to upgrade from 1.0 to the new official release of 2.2 . I have tried several thumb drives, all 32GB or larger. I set a timer for every 20 mins to walk outside and open and close the door of the truck. If I didn't do this, the truck would turn itself off after a while. Yesterday, I tries three times over 1 hour each time and would eventually get the dreaded "The installation has run out of space or does not work with this version."

SO, I wondered if something stored in the settings that could be the cause. I did a master reset of the unit. Got out of the truck for 10 minutes to be sure it was completely off and reset. Then I tried the upgrade again. Well what do you know. It worked!

Doing a master reset before the upgrade allowed the upgrade to finish. I hope this help someone
