ive called Ford twice and have a case #, but they couldn't help. They referred me to the next tier of support which is supposed to call me in 3-5 days. I'm on day 5 so we'll see. Thanks

Mine updated via WiFi last week, yesterday I recieved my new USB module from White Bear Autonation.

Sooooo... what exactly is the big deal with Apple Carplay? Downright retarded if you ask me. Stuck using Apple maps? And makes using Ford Sync all weird and funky.

No thanks, complete waste of time.

Well..not so much...I finally ca lled Ford back as it was getting late in to the 5th day of the 3-5 days I have been waiting for "engineering' to call.. guess what.. call center girl has nothing for me after she looked up my case number..guess to the sealer I go..to at least make an appointment.

I had a Sync rep call me the other day about my case on my wife's Escape and once I told her that 2.2 uploaded successfully, she could care less that gracenotes did not have a version number and did not work. She just cared that 2.2 works.

I did same only used SYNC CHAT on Ford owner site. They gave me email address, case # and attn to person.

I consider myself done with this, now just to play with it. So far pros and cons between systems.

Still cant get android auto to work...I got the app on my phone and ran all thru the settings but it only shows up on my phone and not on the sync display...what am I doing wrong?

Did you plug the phone into the USB port in the truck?
