If you are keeping the truck awhile and/or think you might go back bare in the future, it may be worth putting on a clear 3m layer first.
I had the ford logo’d deflector on my truck. I took it off a couple months ago due to it cracking in the middle (prob got hit by rock/road debris). Besides being very dirty underneath (truck is regularly washed too), The paint was significantly and very noticeably even from a distance scratched and pitted in places as well. I suspect the lack of decent clearance causing dirt/debris combined with wind buffeting, if not wind buffeting alone to do its work. In the end I prob would have fared better just dealing with the rock chips instead. It was only on for about 19k miles too. I had no adhesion problems though, which seems to be the big problem people have had in threads past. Every bit of that tape was still holding on tight when I was removing mine.

Lol I forgot about those car bras. Pretty cheesy but everyone had them back in the day. For some reason I when I think of car bras, I think of the late 80s Chrysler lebarons. :p

I remember when bug guards actually helped keep bugs off the windshield. These ones do look a lot better though.
