Default Best Cover for 2018 XLT 5 foot bed

Hello,

Just bought a 2018 F150 XLT with a 5 foot bed. I am overwhelmed with the choices in tonneau covers. I would like something that is easily removable but also weather proof. I see a ton of cheap $180-240 options with really good reviews on Amazon.

I trusty you guys more than some random Amazon reviews. What is the best cover (either roll up or folding if easily removable) that I should buy and what is a good place to buy them?

Well, I’ve done a brief research and will order the BakFlip MX4. A vendor right here on the forum has the best prices.

I just bought and installed a Bakflip MX4 and could not be happier. Also bought from the vendor on the forum and took advantage of the rebate Bak had going on at the time.

How long did the installation take you?
Any issues?

I installed it myself, halfway in my garage in mid day AZ heat. Took about an hour. Really straightforward install. The only issue I had was that the spring loaded locking tabs on the folding flaps were a bit sticky at first. I had to lock each cover closed by pulling the cord for a while. Eventually this cured itself.

Oh, that and the Bakflip sticker on the last panel just refused to stay adhered. It came on the cover but did not want to stay on.

Just ask and I can take any photo or explain anything I can.

I have an Extang Solid Fold 2.0. I had one on the Ram I traded for my F150 and it was great so I bought another. Installation or removal takes just a few minutes.

I'm debating on the Bakflip MX4 and the Undercover Armor Flex. Both appear to be great options
