I trusty you guys more than some random Amazon reviews. What is the best cover (either roll up or folding if easily removable) that I should buy and what is a good place to buy them?
Well whatever you do, don't buy a 5 foot cover. You will be 6 inches short.

Some firefighters I know have these on their squads, so I went with it. Installed easily, and kept the bed perfectly dry on an 800-mile road trip that included a couple of hours of rain. More than I wanted to spend, but I'm satisfied:

I bought an Undercover, seems to be the same as the Bak Flip. I chose it because my local trucks parts dealer had one in stock and I needed it for a trip to take our
9 year old grandson to Yellowstone. Very happy with it.

Oh, he got to catch his first trout in Colorado, play on the Great Sand Dunes, and go on his first horseback ride for 2 hours. He loved it all, especially Old Faithful.

Still lovin my Lomax. The only way water gets into the bed is via the sides and bottom of the tailgate if I take it through a touchless car wash. I also like that it's a heavy-gauge aluminum tri-fold (no vinyl to fade in the TX sun) that can be very easily removed for full bed use.

Got a great deal on it and a Bedrug XLT mat (covers bed floor and tailgate) from Truck Alterations here on the forums. Arrived at my house just a few days after making the order.

I like my roll-up revolver x2. It keeps the rain from running into the bed area and has a very low profile. It's been very sturdy for 2+ years I've used it.

I went thru hours of research, and before telling you which one I bought, and why, there're several things to consider. First, is what you want it for. And second, what you DON'T want it to do, which in my case, presented the hardest challenge. And that was : NOT TO MAKE NOISE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. And that was counterintuitive with the 2 styles I was considering: roll-up vs tri-fold. I mistakenly thought that the sturdier structure of a tri-fold was better, but NOPE. The fabric flaps against the structure on most of them, making a lot of noise. And that could also apply to sturdy roll-ups, like the Bak, but for me, it's lofty price of admission was immediately a deal-breaker, since I just wanted something easy to roll, that sealed well, and was fairly inexpensive, since I wasn't going to need to lay anything on top of it, etc. Finally, the second big factor for me was to NOT reduce bed space, which most did, including the Bak. So ended up with the highly recommended TruXport, for less than 300 bucks. It sits over the truck's rails, so the only thing intruding inside the bed space are the (ugly) brackets, but that's it. It's self tightening at the back, and you can adjust how tight is sideways with the velcro. Yes, it does flap a little at speed (almost all vinyl ones do), but doesn't make any noise even at 90 mph, which is typically what I cruise on the TX highways (80 speed limit). It's super easy to roll, and it's very small when rolled, so it won't interfere with a motorcycle on top of the bed, which was my main reason to buy a truck in the first place. Hope I made the right decision. Ordered a bunch of crap yesterday, so won't install it until next week. Also ordered a BedRug after exhaustive research. And MAXpider mats, for the 'luxury' appearance as well. It goes well with the Platinum .

: I did a ton of research and went with the Lomax Pro series in the diamond plated aluminum. it looks tougher than any tonneau cover i have seen, and it has a 500 lbs capacity on top. the cover only weighs about 45 lbs and can be removed and stored in the truck or garage in less than 60 seconds. aaaaand is blocks 99.5% of all water (yes, i tested).

Really like the Bakflip MX4. Fits flush, durable, and I can open and close tailgate without opening the cover. Also allows practically 100% of the truck bed. It's a very versatile tonneau cover.

I vote for undercover SE hard tonneau. It's not a folding but it's completely water resistant and pretty secured. Got mine shipped to house for $800. Weighs about 60lbs and even comes with hooks to install to store it if removed which takes about 1.5 mins.
