Thanks everyone. Really focused on covers in the 200-$500 range. Folding or roll up. Soft or hard.

I think the only hard folding in that price range is the Gator Evo.

I'd agree, the Gator Evo or the American Hard Tri Fold both are just around the 500 range. Both are good covers but operate differently. The Gator Evo will be more similar to the Bak, Undercover and Gator FX series of covers, in that you install a pair of rails inside the bed to create a frame for the cover to sit within. This allows it to have the flush mount look, with a pair of drain tubes located at the bulkhead. If you don't need full bed access often, this cover is a great value. The only hesitation I would have is if you need full bed access frequently, as the cover is a bi-fold so while you're able to fold it in half and strap it down to gain partial bed access, when it is propped up its at an angle so you're just a little more limited. The good thing is, you can separate the cover from the rails within just a couple of minutes using the release latches near the cab. The American Hard Tri fold is going to be more similar to a soft tri fold, as it just clamps down under the rails. You'll have hard panels inside a vinyl sheath, so you get the seamless appearance of a soft tri fold, but the hard panels prevent someone from simply cutting into the cover gaining access to the bed. If security and weight capacity is less of a concern, there are some great soft tri folds that fall well within that price range. The Trifecta 2.0 by Extang is one of the better soft tri fold covers available. Spring loaded clamps at the tailgate, which keeps pressure against the tailgate to help ensure it stays dry.

Feel free to message me with any questions you have between different models, etc. and I am always happy to help out.

Backflip MX4 FTW! They run just under $700, but you get what you pay for.

@bigcat1185 is that a roll up or the full tilting one? Where did you get it for under $400?

I have a truxedo Lo-Pro QT on my 2015 (roll up) and love it. Looks great, keeps the bed dry and is under $500. Took about 10 minutes to put on and have never had an issue. Friend also runs on on his silverado without issue. I am planning to get the Mx4 for my 2018, but if, for some reason, I end up going with a roll up again, I will get the same one. I would use the same cover for now as there is nothing wrong with it, but my 2018 is going to be a 157"wb.

It flips up, and also rolls up if you take out three frame pieces. Takes less than 15 seconds to pop them out. I haven’t had to haul anything taller than my truck bed yet so I always just flip it up to fill my bed, then close it. It’s nice having the option to roll up if I need more height tho. I bought it from a vendor on here for $360 shipped
