Yeah, I wish that was my problem. The battery has been replaced and BMS reset a few months back while this problem was happening with the headlight.

Haven't gotten the "kit" yet, but they sent me some instruction pages...

Apparently they are just taking a tap off the turn signal bulb connector to connect to the marker light. I asked them if the factory connector is just to be left disconnected.... Kinda a hack and tells me they should have done this in the first place when they designed it.

For your viewing pleasure....

Thank you, please follow up once you Install these, On the other hand I disabled the DRL auto in the settings, and it seemed to do the trick, however only one side performs the scrolling amber light show when unlocking or locking using the fob, so it still has an issue, but the DRL bright LED is working.

I got an answer, yes the factor side marker light connector should be secured out of the way as it will no longer be connected.

Now, I don't suggest the following for those who are not electrically inclined. I'm probably going to open the head light and rewire this internally so that the factory connector is not floating, but really doesn't do anything for the headlight.

Hopefully the BCM will be happy with the floating marker lights. I have to see if I can change the bulb type with Forscan if there is still an issue, maybe that will resolve it. Most people will not see a problem as this DTC error will not cause a visible indication in the truck.

Um.....

So I used Forscan to perform a DTC reset and outer ring is active, but it still does a like 1/2 blink...

I got the kit from Alpharex today, I will install it once the weather is nicer here in MI. Probably be able to install it next week.

Odd thing this morning, everything is working as intended, Light switch in auto, lock, unlock, lights work, start up works as well, DRL disabled at settings and I also connected the included wiring fuse tap. Very strange. Could it be possible that the BCM calibrated and finally recognized this Install ?

Maybe or the DTC isn't currently active I would bet and if it gets triggered again it will disable the position light. This is what I was dealing with.... Thought it was fixed and a few days later and in worst case minutes later it would disable. So frustrating...

Last night when I was doing some ForScan changes the DTC reappeared for the front L position light, but was not active at the time I viewed the log. Probably triggered due to the ignition cycling I was doing while updating settings. So it has to be something the headlight is doing, but I'm not clear on why it happens on the drivers side and not the passenger side. This must be related to the DRL module for the AlphaRex being on the passenger side.

My drivers side has always worked perfect, my issue was on the passenger side.
