Default Auto start stop ?

I saw a video today on You Tube where the guy just unplugged a wire on the ground side on the battery and the you start stop was disabled.

There must be a catch to doing this or everyone would do it. Has anyone else seen this video>

Most of us just went ahead and got autostopeliminator. Worth the money, and easy installation.

It disables battery management.

I see no reason to disable *** as the rare occasion I am in stop and go traffic I can reach up and hit the button.

Who is most? I don't see any need to buy something to disable that.

It disables battery management.

So what else does it disable besides the auto start stop?
I'm not going to try it unless someone can explain what exactly that will do to the truck.

It won't drastically overcharge the battery, but the computers can no longer micro-manage alternator output. Long term we'll have to see if batteries last the same with bms disabled.

everyone wouldn't do it... there are those of us who don't mind it and want to save the gas.

jag1886 there is also a YouTube video showing how to permanently disable ***. I did it over a year ago and it has worked perfectly ever since. Cost me $0.00 and took me 10 minutes to do.
The video explains how to add a jumper wire to the switch and it tells the computer that the *** is disabled. Very, very easy to do.
