Default Auto start/stop

Hello everyone. Looking to see if the majority of people are disabling the auto stop/start every time you start the vehicle or do you let it do its job. If so, what is the wear and tear with having it on

Use the search function at the top right of the page. Tons of chat about the ***. I, as well as many others, purchased the Auto Start Stop Eliminator. Many others have used various methods to disable it. I have noticed no issues except I don't have to push the frikkin button each time. While I'm not an ASE Mechanic, it doesn't take much to realize it has to be hard on the battery and starter to start and stop all the time. Just my opinion.....

I let it do its job. I was really leary about it when I bought my '19, but it took me all of an hour to get used to it. I don't mind it at all.

No issues with mine so far, but then I haven't hit 10,000 on the truck yet.

I let it do it's job and I actually like it. It's much less noticeable on my '19 as opposed to my '17.

Disabled mine day one with Forscan. Actually researched how to do it before I bought the truck as my 16 didn't have it

Same here, I have the Autostop Eliminator installed and it fixed the one thing I HATED about my truck.

I did that first week, now I can have Auto Start Stop or not have it depending on how I feel.

To answer the question, I leave it in off position and have yet to be in stop and go traffic to test it. Stop lights are very limited around here without much time spent sitting at one either. Have let it do its thing but it seems to shut down and a few seconds later need to start in my driving.

So many folks on here disable - refuse or just don't use the many features of their truck.
Ya, some of them are kinda stupid but one thing leads to another...

Then, its off warranty and bam! It doesn't work, or something associated with it doesnt work...and then what?

I just hit the switch. When warranty is up, then maybe I'll do something about it.

So...use the ***, AWD, e-locker, park assist, 4wd, trailer backup, memory function, auto high beams, etc ...

My advice...try out and use all the features of your truck. Make sure they all work and function as required...before warranty is up!

It's such a great feature...the truck dies at every stoplight and the air conditioner blows warm air.

Seriously, I turn mine off by the button. First thing I do after starting it. The few times I forget infuriates me at the first stoplight.
The only really negative thing about my truck.
