They also have open box units a little cheaper here https://www.autostopeliminator.com/p...29620611317824 There is also a 15% off coupon code "F150FORUM" I purchased the open box and used the discount code and got it for $68 total.
Thank you sir!!!

I just ordered one, and an open box.
I don't mind used, especially when it's from the dealer or mfg with full warranty...and cheaper.
I also really appreciate the forum discount code.
$22 isn't gonna make or break me, but saving a little here and there adds up...to more mod money, lol.
Thanks again!

Yes I realize that. Forscan is much cheaper than *** eliminator. 35k miles with BMS and *** turned off, no ill effects at all, turned off all 3 bits in Forscan guide. Button, light in instrument cluster, all turned off. Other than no ***, truck works completely as designed, I will never want to re-enable *** or BMS so works for me. Forscan is reversible too if I ever decide to trade.

I unplugged mine as soon as I read about it and it acts as though it was never there to start with. 10 seconds to unplug it and 10 seconds to plug it back in if I ever decide to do so.

You could not tell the difference with my "open box" unit from a new one only touched by the seller.

I bought the Autostop Eliminator. I question the long term effects off the ***. Even if it does no harm, I hate it. It is not a smooth autostart by any means.

I also don't understand its patterns. It will shut the engine off a quarter mile from my house, when the engine is not even close to warm. Then, it won't shut off when I've been driving for 20 minutes and the engine is fully warm. No heat or a/c running.

Just unplug the harness from the trailer control module under the dash over your left foot.. Its disabled.

I've gotten used to mine. If it's going to be a short stop I torque the steering wheel slightly to keep it from stopping. If the lights fixing to turn green I torque the wheel slightly and it restarts

I absolutely HATED it! Every time it activated at a light I thought OH S... my truck just died!

Used the jumper trick on the backside of the switch cannon plug to permanently turn it to OFF the second day I had it - (jumper White wire to Black/Purple and it's off forever with no side effects) Great youtube video available. Would have taken it back to the dealer if I couldn't eliminate it. Made me crazy!

Now ... my wife has a 2019 Edge with the same issue, but FORD changed the switch and the scan functions on the 19's so no easy jumper fix that I've located. Guess I'll either have to buy the 4Dtech.com eliminator gizmo (it passes the off code on power up) for 99 bucks, or get a cable and turn it off in the forscan code. Not a huge fan of making programming changes while under warranty, will likely buy the eliminator.

Yeah, mine came last week, and if they had not have sold it as an open box, I wouldn't have known any different.
I still haven't gotten around to installing it yet...or the BuiltRight rear seat back latch, and rear fender liners.
All of them and my Forscan cable are sitting in my garage waiting.

Too bad they didn't provide an option to turn it off permanently.

My question is this: Is the connector that you can unplug from the trailer controller to disable the system the same cable that is going to the switch itself?
