I'd avoid the 15s and go with a 16. I'm trading mine in shortly so it's available...very well loaded XLT.

I paid $36,220. (9% discount + 6050 rebates)

Here is a used 2016 XLT at the same dealer. $47,970 was the MSRP new. That's $37,420 if sold new at the same discount as mine was. Let's assume they'll sell it for $32,420. That's a $5000 savings, to buy a 2+ year old truck with 20k miles on it, with unknown history and less than half a warranty. If it's my money, I will spend that extra $5k every time.
killer rebates. Dealers aren’t moving like that here.

You can try what I did: On your own, find trucks that you would honestly buy. Make a list of VINs, what dealers the trucks are at, and a contact number for said dealers. I called (and went to) several dealers and basically said "I'm sending you, and a few other dealers, a list of trucks. Get one of them on the lot, and I will give you $1000 below invoice (before any and all incentives). First one to call me with a truck in their possession wins."

I did the leg work myself. All they had to do was make a few phone calls and arrange delivery. In my case, it was a no brainer for them it seemed: Spend ~30 minutes on the phones to make ~$500.
Only one dealer gave me the "we can't sell that low" speech. None of the others even questioned my offer. Got calls from 3 of them. Bought from the one closest to home.

That’s the issue, I can’t find what I want and have to order.

The order best price I’m getting in central NY is X Plan -$500 extra incentive.

So thats like $300 under invoice?

Only $500 incentive? What are you trying to find exactly? I looked up a NY zip of 13338, and there's a minimum of $2000 in rebates (KR, Lariat, Plat), and $4750 if you get an XLT.

What "extra incentive" are you talking about? X-Plan does NOT negate any Ford incentives. You should be getting X-Plan + all Ford incentives.
