Default Another phaser posting

I have an 18 with a 3.5 ecoboost with about 67k miles. Pretty pissed that this truck had regular oil changes and maintenance. It gets driven often and in many different ways(highway, around town, it’s even ran hard often). Yet here I am getting stuck with this repair bill because ford can’t get these things right and the dealership kept denying that I had early signs of phaser problems while still in warranty. Although now if I brought it to them again now they would definitely tell me it’s phasers since I’m out of warranty and it’s not their problem anymore.

so what’s the average price everyone has paid to get the phasers and timing components replaced?

Also anything else I should have done while my entire truck is all torn up to save a headache later on?

File a claim with Ford and show them all the documents you have over the years where you took your truck in and they didnt do anything.

email, phone, chat

https://www.ford.com/help/contact/?gnav=header-support

I would edit your signature, not telling you to lie or anything but having a tune might complicate things.

There is also a ford rep on this site.

I thought it was 100% covered by FORD up to 69,999 under the TSB?

the dealer told me they could not use that because the 21N03 didn’t come up as a recall for my truck. And From my understanding I would have had to do another recall code at the dealer before a certain date in order to qualify for 21N03. But since my truck never got the recall that needed to be done before 21N03 I was basically told to kick rocks

Ford said the same to me, but said they would take care of it. They gave me a reference # and I passed that along to the dealership.

I did the chat thing so I could have everything in "writing". Took screen shots and saved the chat.

I started to get the rattle at 61k.

Did you get 21B10 done?

yeah pretty sure that’s the one I had done already and I called the corporate number I have a case number and everything now. They want me to bring it back to the dealer to get diagnosed as a phaser issue before they move forward with it
