Good Morning great site ! i think i posted this in the wrong area so i am reposting .read a lot post very little unless i am stuck. i recently upgrades my 15 crew cab to sync 3 after reading extensive in this forum on how to do this there are a lot of knowledgeable people here. install went flawless turned vehicle on first time everything came right up had to turn some things on with forscan in the climate area. but i am having 2 minor issues i am getting navigation error see dealer but when i close window nav is there and working fine did get code b119f in forscan for gps antenna so i tried another one still does same thing every few starts not sure what to do to resolve issue. 2nd minor issue is when i get incoming text i dont get a audiable notification and if i push to here it nothing plays but i can read the text just no sound any suggestions on either issue would greatly be appreciated. i am a parts manager for a ford dealer so i have access to anything i might need. What brand of antenna are you using? The "$5 eBay" ones are known to have a high failure rate. What was the donor vehicle for the Sync 3 APIM? If not from an F150, did you correctly program the AsBuilt to match an F150? Just because it powers up and works, doesn't mean the AsBuilt is correct. There are several parameters that are vehicle specific that can affect the GPS.
For the phone prompt issue, turn the volume up while a text is being read. The audio volume (like when listening to the radio) and prompt volume are separate, and the prompt volume must be adjusted when a prompt is playing.

Also, capital letters at the beginning of sentences make it much easier for people to read.

 

Thanks for the reply . It came out of a 2017 f150 I found a vin from a 16 f150 as built data that had about everything my vehical did . I am new to forscan so i only changed certain things. Is it correct i am not sure. As for the antenna amazon eightwood and other one was bingfu about $ 15 each. I did not want to change all the asbuilt at once should i have ? And the volume issue dosent change by turning it up is just dosent read it no matter how hi i turn it up. Thanks for any help
