I tried several different things before mine showed up. What seemed to do it for me was to clear cache, clear data and then force stop the app, after that the option was available. I had tried uninstalling before along with clearing cache but that didn't work.

This exact process is what I had to do too.

The update is still running fine today. I'm running Android 9. It could be why it's stable.

No question I prefer android, but things will only get smooth for everyone when Google gets their versions of android
on or close to being on the same page.

OK, after 3 times removing the patch/clearing data and a few reboots, I love the new interface! Now, I've only played with it for about 5 minutes....

I can't get the new version to work not matter what. Even says I have the 4.5.592854-release. Cleared cache, clear data, force stop, restart phone, go hook it up to truck, accept all permissions, go to AA settings and can not get "try new version" to show in settings.

Then plugged in and went through the setup for AA with the truck.

Don't know why/if all that was necessary but it seems to be the only thing that kept it from crashing for the 15 minutes I was playing with it.
Just did this, still a no go. AA sucks. I can Forscan the ish out of 5 different vehicles, yet a lousy app can't work right.
