Use voice ask it to play Amazon music. Example: play calssic rock on Amazon music. Works for me.

 

Every time I plug my Pixel 2 into my truck it says "the inserted usb device is not responding." I've tried three different cables, performed a hard reset on my phone, cleaned out the USB ports, and made sure all the correct permissions are on. Does anyone know how to fix this?

 

Any chance you activated Developer Options one time on the phone itself and changed the USB default?

 

I don't think so but it randomly started working again. I won't complain now but I hope it doesn't happen again.

 

Has anyone had this problem with Android auto. when I plug my phone in it opens but all I get is a black screen with the menu bar at the bottom none of the icons appear. Previous to this I was having an issue with Waze where Waze would not open and if I pushed it the whole system would Hang.

Anyone?

 

if this only happens with AA then uninstall it from your phone and re-install. If that doesn't fix try a master reset of sync.

 

Will a reset take me back to before I updated sync? Do I have to redo anything with Sirius account?

 

Reset puts sync back to default settings. It will still be what ever version of sync you had. You will need to pair your phones again. Enable 911 and any other changes you made.
But you will not lose your presets channels. I have no idea why but glad about it.

EDIT: if this started after an update you can try running the update again. I had a minor issue after installing version 3.3 on my 2016. I ran the format USB again and then the install USB and all was perfect.

 

Your "radio " and related functions are part of the ACM module not the APIM/sync3
