Adding Trailer Brake Controller
Sorry if this is a duplicate, but I can't seem to find a thread with what advice I'm looking at.
I have a 2015 5.0 Screw 2WD, and I have the glorious change holder where my trailer brake control should be (who even bought this truck?). So, I'm looking at adding the trailer brake controller, but I'm wondering if there's definitely a harness behind my change holder that will allow me to plug 'n play the OEM controller, or if I'm wandering into territory I don't necessarily want to venture into. My local RV dealer has plenty of aftermarket options, but those also require a harness that's supposed to plug 'n play with a receiver in the dash. The truck DOES have the 7-pin plug.
Ideas and experiences?

The harness is actually plugged into the back of the cubby/coin holder.
It's not that difficult to take that part of the dash apart especially if you have a column shifter. If you have a center console shifter...just a tad more difficult. There are some YouTube videos to guide you.
After installing mine, that I picked up on Ebay for $80 (?) a flash programmer for 4d Tech was used to activate it. You can do that or use Forscan or take it to a dealer. I don't have a Windows laptop so the flash programmer was the easiest route.
