I actually love chrome and have just added chrome lock *****, chrome trim on seat controls, and added a chrome trimmed rear cup holder in the console.

 

Nice. Where'd you get these parts?

 

Rear door lock ***** are from a scrap yard sourced from a Crown Vic, a little chrome polish and they look like new.
I got fronts from the same car but I was not happy with the chrome finish (it was pitted) so I bought new ones from NAPA

I bought the rear console cup holder from my local dealer. I found a truck on the lot that had this cupholder and we used it's VIN for a parts lookup.

The seat chrome was from ebay and just sticks on but so far has held up well.

 

While I like my black out exterior for the truck I have at this moment, I prefer a more dressed up interior. The STX gives you a lot to upgrade. The standard interior already comes with bright bits and pieces and it seemed like more work to fight it, so I spruced it up with the same rear seat cupholder with brightwork (eBay) to make the console look more finished. Current STX models already have the chrome trimmed rear cupholder on them IIRC. I also added chrome stick on speaker grille surrounds (aftermarket) and they have held up and stayed in place for over 2 years. I have upgraded the door panels with inserts trimmed with brightwork, as well as upper trim level interior door pulls. All interior contact surfaces associated with comfort were redone with Lariat leather.

I was going to do the ***** as well and i might later but they seemed too costly for me.

They do look good that way. They came that way for the first few years of the 13th gen. I suppose ford saved a few cents going with black *****.

Are the NAPA Door Locks chrome on Plastic OR are they 'real' metal, then chromed?

I went the other way on my Ruby Red King Ranch and added red ***** to the dash....

 

The NAPA door lock ***** are chrome plastic.

Even the OEM ones from the 80's were chrome plastic.
