Default 2018 Leveling Question

To Eibach spring it or not to spring it?

I'm looking to pick up a 2018 F150 4wd in the next week or two and the first thing I'd like to do is a basic leveling kit. The one I have my eye on is the Bilstein 5100 kit front and back, for an extra 150$ is the eibach spring kit worth it? I don't plan on going the full 2.1", going to be one notch down at 1.75.

Thanks!

From what I’ve read, the bilsteins are backordered until at least the end of February. I was going to do those, but decided to just go with the spacer up front rather than wait.

Blisteins are 10x better than strut spacers, that's for sure! However, 2 strut spacers (1.5-2'') would only cost 40-50$...

Ride would be better with blistein, but would not be awful with spacers that thick. An extra 150$ and a few weeks of waiting is worth it.

Is is true that the 5100's up front at full height creates a rougher ride? I would be coming from a 17' FX4

I have a 17 FX4 also and installed a 2in front spacer. Ride quality after is the same as stock.

I’ve also read that bilsteins at the highest setting suffer in ride quality. Most people with spacers say the ride is the same as stock. My plan was to do the 2.5” spacers and then bilsteins later when I need to replace the shocks. It seems like bilsteins at stock setting plus the spacer would ride better than bilsteins at the highest setting.

So is the agreement that the stock springs are sufficient?

The reason I ask is that I could step up to the 6112s and they come with a spring.

I just want to keep it simple and nice, was thinking of just doing 5100s all around and leveling it out a bit. The only offroading i do is at local shooting ranges in texas where I drive through brush or dirt roads, nothing too crazy.

The 6112's have been getting positive reviews so far.

What I'm curious about is if the 6112 setup is worth the 2x price difference over the 5100 setup all around.

The 6112 fronts with matched springs are about 600$, add in rear 5100s and we're at 750$

The 5100 leveling kit from stage3 (best price I could find so far) is about 357$ shipped but It will reuse the factory spring. Is the 400$ premium worth it?

I'm picking up my F150 tomorrow.

Thanks!

That I do not know, but I do know the 5100's are on back order until mid march.
