That is correct, if you are in southwest Ohio, I can do it for you for free.

You can look into Forscan software, it is free, but IIRC, the key programming is addressed in the PCM, and I believe Forscan has limitations as to how far into the PCM it will allow you to go.

If I am unable to change mine myself, I may just look you up, for ****s and giggles, I emailed my dealer to see what they would charge to enable self programming. They replied it cannot be enabled, and I must have their technician program the keys. I love being lied too! $55 later.....

Update: I was unable to update using my solus. My truck is not supported for a few more years I don't think.
Looks like I will be calling all the Ford dealers in my area to see who will enable self programming for me.

My dealer in Stoneham, MA programmed and cut a smart key for me for 1/2 hour labor ($65). The key was not purchased through them.

Add me to the list as well, for someone that would like to program a 3rd key.

I am tempted to dump the $150 into a knock off VCMii and see if I can do it myself.

My dealer just programmed two replacement keys this morning for my 18. Took all of 15 minutes and cost me zero. I lost 1 of my 2 fobs traveling about a month ago. Bought 2 additional oem replacements from north coast keyless for 70 bucks a piece. Dealer made it easy and free.

I ended having the the dealer do mine. Told them I'd buy the extended warranty from them (instead of online through Flood Ford) if they'd program my extra key for free.

On Edit: The dealer's service dept said it has to be done using Ford's IDS system (?). They claimed it can't be done with Forscan.
Raptoe / Leaf-Peeper, what was the procedure that Raptoe used for the IA Key?
