Default Programming an extra Intelligent Access Key for a 2015

My intelligent access key fell apart. It still worked but was a mess.

Dealer wanted to charge me $150 to program a new one in addition to the $150 it cost to purchase the new key fob.

The instructions in the manual are crap. People seem almost universally confused on how to do it. I PM’d Ford Service on this forum and received no response. Thanks, Ford Service.

Anyway, here you go...

Assuming you already have two working Intelligent Access Key FOBs, here is how you program a new one.

You have to have both of the existing programmed keys in the vehicle along with the new key you wish to program. Put the first in the spot indicated in the attachment. Then follow the directions (from the 2015 Mustang manual) in the other attachment. It’s quite easy.
