2016 Tracking Thread
First off. Great board!
After following the 2016 Build Guide thread. On Sept 11, 2016 I walked into my neighbourhood Ford Dealership in Toronto, Ontario and placed an order. I wanted a Lariat. I wanted a 2.7 Ecoboost, Medium Light Camel Leather interior, 20" wheels, a 502A package and Sync 3. You couldn't option a 2.7L this way so I figured put my order down for a 2016. I was definitely the first person to order a 2016 in that dealership. The Salesperson and GM were helpful. I plopped down a $1000 on my visa as a deposit and the purchase agreement was conditional on my approval of the incentives that would be available when the truck arrives. I ordered it in Caribou. The GM went over my build order and offered to include it in his initial dealer order/allotment of 25 trucks. He said that it would mean that the order would have priority in the build schedule. (Other forum posts seemed to concur with this). The two big issues i have right now are:
1. The 2.7 L with a 502A were and are described as a late build. The initial guess was December-January. In the middle of October, the dealership called to let me know that they were expecting the Truck Jan-Feb 2016. In my head I'm expecting the truck for mid February. Does anyone have a similar experience with ordering a 2.7L and 502A ? Mine was ordered mid Sept.
2. I haven't negotiated a final purchase price for the truck. From my gleaning of the boards, Can I expect to get the truck at invoice price less delivery allowance and any incentives and less $500-1000? I don't have the best negotiating leverage other than to walk away from the deal with my deposit and pick up a Platinum that will be sitting on just about every dealer's lot as a "President's Demo". But that will mean I end up with the 3.5 L (more engine than I need or want)
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Just logged into the Ford Owner site looking for software updates, etc for my wife's '13 Edge Limited & noticed we have a $1k Private Cash certificate!!! Look's like the phone and email brochure requests that we both applied for paid off! Expires 11/29 so here's hoping the truck shows up around the tentative 11/15 delivery date.
