Sounds almost identical to my situation, ordered xlt xtr super crew 6.5 bed 5.0 3.73 on April 21st , truck was built may 23rd in Dearborn, delivery was suppose to be June 5th (today) according to cotus all along ,the status has stayed at awaiting shipment since may 23rd but this past Tuesday the eta and days to delivery disapeared. Called my dealer last Monday and he claims the truck has departed the factory, but im only 5 hours from dearborn so thats a long time for it to be in transit i would say not sure who you can believe about eta lol.

 

I ordered mine April 27th, dealer said order was placed for sure on that day (I've certainly asked). Got dealer code and order number but almost 6 weeks and still no VIN!! COTUS always says no vehicle found with dealer code and order number. I've called Ford customer service and they verified order was indeed placed on April 27. What's the longest anyone's had to wait for a truck??
Considering compromising on options and getting one off a lot. Be nice to at least have an idea of build date by now. Dealer just says he doesn't know why the delay, call my sales rep almost every week lol. Thoughts?!

 

Be patient! My wife and I decided that if were gonna spend the money on a nice truck, its gonna be exactly what we want. My first f150 i settled, there were alot of "I wish i would have gotten....." after that. My last f150 I got exactly what I wanted and I loved that truck for 10 straight years.

 

Well said, exactly why I ordered. Can't promise I'll be patient though! Wondering the longest anyone's had to wait, have a trip planned, hoping to have it by then.

 

Hello all, I am new to the forum and am in the process of ordering a 2016 F150 XLT Supercrew, 6 1/2' bed, 3.5L V6 EcoBoost, 4X4, 3.55 Elec. Locking Axle. I am putting the order in this Tuesday. My options include XLT Sport Appearance Package, FX4 Off-Road, Trailer Tow Package, Navigation, Extended Range Fuel Tank, Fog lamps, Manual Trailer tow mirrors with power glass, 5" accent color tubular running boards, 18" Six-spoke machined aluminum wheels with magnetic painted pockets (The paint color is Magnetic) with black interior. Any recommendations on other options or possible options not to include?

 

Just found this site yesterday AND just ordered a truck today!!
Lariat Super-cab with a 6 1/2ft bed in Ruby Red with the Camel interior, 2.7L Eco, 3.55 gears, FX4 Pkg, ext range tank, Chrome pkg, moon roof and a couple extra gadgets.
I guess in a few days I should figure out the COTUS thing. I would imagine it's a lot like the tracking I used when I ordered my Jeep.
Let the wait begin. I hope it arrives by the end of July because I need to get it done up to tow behind the motorhome and we have reservation in Colorado the second week f August.

 

Which cotus site are you using? There's a cotusb one that doesn't work. And then there's wwwqa.cotusa.ford.com which seems to work pretty good. Also ask if the truck was ordered special for you or they used a stock quota.

It may take a little time to get your window sticker. Mine didn't show up until the truck had completed Order Processing and moved into Production.

As far as options ( Additional) I put on Factory Ford splash guards Guards, rear wheel liners. Both were a simple installation. I changed my Tonneu cover from the dealer and bought a Bak Revlover, another simple install, much better than the Ford option, another nice item that I put on was a Factory Tail gate asisst, again a easy installation. These are all factory items no drilling and made for the Truck. The last item that I put in and were worth the money was a set of OEM Fia MFG Seat covers.
