I ordered all the towing bells and whistles except for the Max Payload Package because I couldn't have it with the packages/color I wanted. Fortunately, most of what comes in the Max Payload Package is included in the other towing packages I ordered, except for the 9.75" gearset and the upgraded springs. I'm considering having the dealer install the upgraded springs, which they said they can do albeit at a considerable cost. So, I'll weigh them doing it versus getting it done elsewhere with potentially better parts.
I don't plan on doing any serious towing, which is why I didn't consider adding the option at the beginning. Now, I'm just thinking about the whole better safe than sorry thing... Oh well. I might give the dealer a ring just to see, but I won't hold my breath.

Thanks for the info.

Same.. Can't have Max Tow + FX4 - so I got FX4 the tow capacity doesn't change THAT much.

I'm pretty sure the only way you can get the max tow and the FX4 is if you go with the 3.5ecoboost engine option. At least that's what i've been told.

Gotcha. Mine was built yesterday and Cotus updated to "awaiting shipment." Still estimating 5/24 delivery.

Yeah, you can have a Max Tow and an FX4 with a 3.5L EcoBoost.

I ordered a 5.0L V8 with the regular tow package, but I couldn't get the HD Payload package with the color and other features/packages that I wanted. That's why I'm considering upgrading the springs and stabilzers, because other than the 9.75" gearset, that's all I'm missing from the HD Payload package.

Well, some good news came yesterday from the dealership!

Finally got the full vin instead of the partial. They told me expected delivery is in two weeks, but COTUS says three weeks. Which would be more accurate?

Here is the schedule from the dealership:

Order Placed: 3/31/2016
Production Start Date: 5/02/2016
Scheduled Delivery: 5/16/2016

It is coming from the Kanas City plant.

There might be a one week delay since the KC plant will be closed for the week of May 9th.
My build started 4/30/16 and the estimated delivery is 5/27/16 to Seattle via convoy.

Would you think that the Kansas city shutdown next week will affect the delivery time of the already built trucks awaiting shipment?
