Default 2016 & Remote Access

I just ordered the two parts to install remote access. Curious, anyone else do this on a 2016 yet?

I did it on a 2015... Just thought I'd mention it if you have questions.

Just installed my remote access on my 2016 Platinum. The installation took 5 minutes + 15 minutes to secure everything under the console. Benny called and did his part in another 5 minutes. Fantastic service from ordering the correct parts, follow-up and the 5 minutes phone conversation as he registered the sim card and gave me my pin. The system is working 100% after 10 tries. I will love this given our parking lot at work is 300 yards away through an office complex. Will be nice to start the truck while I am packing up each day.

So you did need both parts even though you Platinum probably already had a perimeter alarm?

Hi everyone, just ordered one for myself.. I am very ignorant on stowing/tucking the assembly. Any thoughts, tips, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm confused - don't the high-end trucks have remote access and remote start? What do these news parts do...extend the range? I probably missed a thread on this...

Yes, my model - Platinum has remote start using the key. This adds a module with cell service, allowing you to start, lock, etc. from basically anywhere in the world you have cell service. For me, I have a long walk to my car from my office everyday. I can now start the truck as I pack up at the end of the day or go to lunch.

I would love to do this but I am holding out because Ford's announcement at CES that this will be an upgrade to Sync 3 equipped vehicles this year which adds 4G. If it's a new app and new part then I want to wait.
