Default 2015 King Ranch Key Code Question

Hi guys, I sold my 2004 F150 and recently my wife purchased me (birthday present) a new to me 2015 King Ranch . Beautiful truck, I'm very happy with it. The truck was purchased used at a dealership over 5 hours from our home (10 hour round trip).

I just realized that I don't have the keypad code for the door. There is no wallet card with any of the paperwork and the dealer says I have to bring it back to them and other dealers in my area want $100 to plug into the computer.

On my old F150, the code was on one of the modules on the interior rear cab wall, behind the seat. My question is this...does anyone know where on the new trucks the key code is? I looked at the fuse box passenger side, but no luck. Any ideas?

I would just call the dealership she bought it from and ask if they have the card.

Unfortunately the module is no longer placed where you can see it. The only option is to take it to a dealership to pull the code. Check around, speak to a service manager and maybe they can get the cost down to get you your code, especially if they feel they will gain a customer. It takes them just a few minutes but it sounds like they want to charge you their normal diagnosis charge. Negotiate with them and it may save you 30 or 40 bucks.

You can try calling the dealership where you purchased it but if the manual and paperwork were in the vehicle then it's extremely doubtful they will have your wallet card...or even know whose it was if they did.

Just call the (a) dealer or Ford directly and ask them to give you the code. I do not see why they need the truck. I had a rental Ford Edge that I locked the keys in. Roadside Assistance said they would be two hours and I didn't have that kind of time. I called the Service Gal at my dealer (who knows who I am)and she gave me the code to open the door with the VIN so they must have them. Sounds like a money grab to me.

You may have just gotten lucky, the keyless entry codes are not usually available through OASIS.

FWIW - there is a way to display yer keypad code in the cluster using yer physical keys:

https://owner.ford.com/how-tos/vehic...ry-keypad.html

Perhaps it'll save a trip to the dealer.

I'm guessing he doesn't have keys on a king ranch. And the process that worked with 2 keys on the pre 2015's to display the code on the dash does not seem to work with the keyless fobs.

I also believe there is a code on the inside of the passenger kick panel. You have to pry it back and it is on a placard there.
