40-50 mph gets 29+ mpg's very easily. And it's not just me, many others post the same results.

This was a round trip in the winter to pick up my wife, on steel rims with winter tires and winter gas. This pic was cruising 50 the whole way there. I was almost at my destination when I took this. Took me 23 minutes to drive the 19 miles including a few stop lights and slower residential area:

Then had to wait for the wife to take her sweet time (11 minutes!), etc etc and drive the same 50mpg route home. This is when I got home:

Some stop and go and residential where I picked up my wife and around home but mostly cruising 50. Again, this is in the winter. Summertime with normal gas and summer tires and rims gets me better mileage.

Doing 60 mph gets me the 26+ mpg, but I have had 28-29 on long trips, could be due to the flat ground, maybe a tail wind, I dunno.

Doing 70mph, which is rare, gets me anywhere between 22-25mpg depending if I'm heading into wind or whatever. At those speeds I find wind makes a big difference.

Here in Canada freeways are 50mph, most highways are 60mph, and a few are just under 70mph (68.3 mph = 110km/h). There's also photo radar EVERYWHERE so speeding just gets you a ton of tickets in the mail

Oh...as stated, Chicago traffic...cant go any faster with heavy traffic...oh well
Might want to turn your special 38mpg 2.7EB to Ford so they can either fix the mpg calculator or reverse engineer and mass produce ...

I have a screw 4x4 2.7 and am almost 2 mpg less than you report at those speeds. Still impressive to me... The average lifetime is 23.2 right now. Accelerate normal with a few quick starts and 1/4 of time I accelerate in sport mode but then cruise at 50-65 once I reach those speeds...

The only way to report real MPGs is by fuel-ups using miles driven divided by gallons used. All other reports of super high mpg is pointless.

I just got 11.6 towing a 7000 pound camper plus a wife and three kids. Total trip was about 800 miles and included going up the mountain to sequoia national forest and up and back over the California grapevine (6% grade for about 10 miles). Truck performed great. Only thing worth mentioning was the engine temp readout came on an went up to about 235 but no higher. The gauge didn't really move much at all.

I unhitched today and drove to work...22.5mpg.

Love. This. Truck.

My xlt sport shows 30 mpg a lot at 45 mph in burbs but mostly slightly down hill. Thas a joke thing though cause up the next hill it can show 12. The car I had 6 years ago would show 48 mpg pulling up along side the duels of a semi but the F150 doesn't seem to be affected that way.

Here are the first 8 fill ups for my truck. Very happy with it so far. Truck mpg gauge has read ~5% high for me

The three 15.x tanks were mostly towing my boat (approx 4k lbs).

Random question - how are you guys getting your gauge to show "gal used" ? Mine shows DTE...maybe it's a 2015 vs 2016 thing?

the gallons used was so wildly inaccurate that ford turned that feature off for the 16 model year.
