Default 12 Volt Solutions Remote Start

I recently came across a Plug and Play remote start kit from 12 volt solutions that looks like it just plugs in before the OBD plug.

has anyone installed one of these kits? I was hoping to hear some feedback from someone who may have installed and is using this kit.

thanks

I had it for about 4 months now, easy install it took me only 5 minutes, plugs right into OBD, unlocks features in the dash. Press lock key 3 times on the fob and it will start the truck. Distance is limited by the factory key fob range. No issues so far, works great.

Get it on ebay its cheaper : https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2018-F...hX6B0s&vxp=mtr

He takes best offers. I paid around $120 for mine. It's plug and play, and does everything MotoHERc says it does. I'd recommend it.

I have the 12volt solution Remote start, I just installed it yesterday so far so good! Like everyone said easy install, unlocks the features in the dash. Hardest part for me was trying to figure out where to zip tie the module, I chose the left side by the Hood Pop switch.

I've had it installed about a month now. Absolutely love it! No issues at all.

Does the horn chirp when you push the lock button 3 times?

Not if you disable the honk with forscan.

Installed my "lock/lock/lock" kit and then promptly disabled the honk.

I got the lock/unlock/lock kit no need to disable anything. I did need to turn on remote option with Forscan though.

Is this plug and play?

No splicing wires?

Do you need two key fobs to make this work because I only have one.

And you press lock, unlock, lock on your remote to start the truck?

Searching part number shows this as vehicle security system - ford perimeter plus - so it's both security and remote start?

On ford site it says for 2018 but eBay says 15-18

I understand you are asking about the 12v but have you priced one of the Ford ones from Ford accessories website. I'm going to get the long range one which is bi-directional and indicates when truck starts, nice if you're in a store, restaurant ,etc. The dealer pricing really varies as it ranged from $350 to $1000 installed in my area!!
