Have you checked all the menu settings? There is a setting somewhere for climate control related to remote start.

Get it on ebay its cheaper : https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2018-F...hX6B0s&vxp=mtr
This is the one that I bought and installed yesterday. But the module would not flash green and work. I had to contact the sellar on Ebay because there is NO customer service number on the paperwork. The sellar called me in two minutes after I sent the email though. And is sending another module and harness to try.

Default VSS

Has anyone tried just adding Ford's VSS module? I hear it's plug and play and also adds remote start. Not sure if any programming needs to be done in forscan though. Getting conflicting info. JS7Z-19A361-A is the part number.

I bought this part number a couple weeks ago and it works flawlessly in my 2015 F-150. Fords site says it is for several 2018 Ford vehicles but I have one in my '15 F-150 and put one in my wife's '16 Edge yesterday. Same part fits both vehicles.

The best thing about this unit is that you press lock-unlock-lock on your factory key fob to start the truck. This button sequence means it WON'T beep and no extra key fobs to carry plus it's a Ford part!

I did use forscan to enable the remote start menu in both vehicles. On the F-150 you have to change
BCM 726-22-02 to xxx1 xxxx xxxx
IPC 720-02-02 to whichever matches your vehicle options in the forscan spreadsheet on the IPC tab.

I purchased this and installed it 2 weeks ago. It's works without issue and I use it every day. I didn't have to make any programming changes. The unit was plug and play. If I leave the heat or AC on when I shut the truck off, it'll turn on when I start it up with the remote. Hands down the best upgrade I've done. Extremely pleased with the purchase.

I just ordered a slightly different unit from the same guy that is upgrade-able to smart phone control if i have trouble with the range on the oem fob remote. Its supposed to activate the ability to configure your heater

The following remote start features can be configured via the information display:

Climate control.

Heated seats/steering wheel.
Runtime.
Remote start enable/disable.

I offered him $130 for it and he countered at $145 a whopping $4 off his list. I asked him a question as to if his unit activated the trucks menu on climate and he never answered me. I skipped him and ordered this one For $150 plus a reasonable shipping fee. Ill update when it comes in.

I bought this setup for my wifes and my truck, both work great, install was less then 15 minutes for both trucks. You are limited to the range on your existing fob, but my really isnt that bad. Overall I'm very happy with it. Not to mention it is easily reversable if I sell the truck. Not sure how it knows, but I have climate control adjustments in the cluster, and when I get in before turning the key it tells me to insert key before the vehicle will operate. I changed nothing in the bcm, but somehow it knows there is remote start now..

Go for it. I didn't bicker because I wanted to start using it and I couldn't wait. The operation so far has been flawless and the range is great because I'm using my factory fob. I don't have heated seats or steering wheel so the other unit doesn't seem that big of a draw for me. Hope it works for you, though I wouldn't have bought it based on the Fusion headline. Good luck.
