Theoretically, Mandrel bent it superior to Press bent, but in the grand scheme of things, your truck won't know the difference.

i've come to the harsh reality that spending big money on these OBD1 trucks is like flushing the same money down the toilet.

your best bet is do the timing bump and a good air cleaner.

Thumbs up y pipe

Did the bump, K&N, It's throwing no codes. Trucks runs like a champ, I just can't quit experimenting with it. I don't drive it every day, it's my baby. Right now it has a single 2 & 1/2 inch exhaust with the old plugged cat hollowed out and a Flow-master muffler. If I put a y pipe on it, i will still run a single exhaust pipe and 1 muffler, but maybe use a 3 inch pipe.

Automatic? If so then it's MAF and much more responsive to changes than other OBDIs.

Yes it's automatic and yes the bump and exhaust mods I've done so far have made this a whole different truck. The performance and mileage gains are what really has me wanting to experiment more.

The performance return on investment is dicy after that. Certainly the ignition upgrade, bump & a K&N drop in is the best bang for your buck.
