The "WTF Is This" Game
Did some looking, opened up the Chilton's manuals and hit google here and there, but no luck.
Figured y'all would know real quick and be able to help me out. 1993 F150 4x4, Automatic
First:
The coffee can with two small vacuum (i assume) hoses coming off it

Second, a little more hard to explain:
This is the front axle - the hose is connected to the top of the ?Bell Housing? on the drivers side front. The other end of the hose isn't connected to anything but I have a feeling it should (the part of the hose closest to the camera is actually just laying on top of the drive shaft).

The last one - this should be good...
Two things: This is attached to the inside frame, not too far from the dangley hose thing I posted up top. I noticed it while I was trying to figure out what the dangley hose thing is/was.
The bottom line isn't connected to anything on this end, but probably should be. It runs along the frame towards the back of the truck.
And I've no idea what the whole other bigger / rusted contraption is in the middle of the picture.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give. I'm sure I'll have more questions as we noodle out and fix one thing at a time.

It is part of the vacuum system if you look under your hood there should be a sticker on the hood itself that shows the vacuum system routing. I have a 1992 with a 4.9L I6 and it has that exact "coffee can" on it.
The third one is for the rear antilock brakes. Yes our trucks have rear antilock brakes. (weather they work is a different story) There should be a brake line comming in from the master cylinder and one going out to the rear brakes. The wire and sensor on the top of your rear axle is the abs sensor and it is connected to that part in the picture.
Okay - so ...
Pic 2 - is a vent hose, so shouldn't be connected to anything on the open end, but shouldn't be dangling down either, correct?
Pic 3 - I'll check to see if the RABS works later on this week (go play in the empty parking lot, see if I can get the **** end to swing around). Still curious as to what that bottom cable/wire thing is - that's not connected to anything at the end

i like to call the first one my flux capacitor. looks kinda weird though, i feel like the story in the designing was along the lines of "Man we have like, 30 seconds to complete the prototype! [other guy in the room]: uhh, uhh, here take this coffee can and strap it in there!
the differential breather tube apparently clips to the side of the airbox, or somewhere around there.
how do you test if your rear abs works?

I was going to wait for a nice rain and take the truck to an empty parking lot and slam on the brakes and see if I could get the ***-end to slide around.
My way is more fun.
