Default where is this?

hey guys!

1. Don't mind me I'm on my phone.

2. I'm looking for the location of my pcv valve on my 1993 302. I have been told it follows the end of the hard plastic tube from my air filter. I checked that and it leads to my oil filler cap. I'll post pictures in the A.M when I can.

I'd like to figure this out cause I have oil in my air filter box.

Not sure about the 302 but on the 300 it's on the back of the valve cover behind the intake manifold. There should be a narrow tube that goes off from the other side of your intake toward the back of the engine.

It is located in the passenger side valve cover towards the back of the engine. You will have to reach under the upper intake to get to it.

Also, use a Motorcraft PCV.

Been there, done that with aftermarket brands and there is a difference.

Awesome! I would've never figured. I trust motorcraft for a lot of stuff in the 302.

Check this out! I've got this little mess up of a PCV Valve!

I'm planning on replacing it. Hopefully it takes care of the little oil in my air filter. If not on to the next step.

It should take care of the oil in the air filter. If not.....you have a bigger issue at hand.

Also, once you confirm that there's no more oil going to the air filter box, replace the breather filter inside of the air filter box under the air filter. Usually people don't replace it and it deteriorates. If there is nothing there, that's why. They are usually in the $3 range. Most any brand is ok with this item.

And I know I sound like a broken record, but make sure you go with a Motorcraft PCV. I can't stress it enough.

Shake it. If it rattles it's good.

Not necessarily. He has an aftermarket PCV and it more than likely doesn't have the proper flow characteristics. Truth be told, it doesn't look like the right PCV for the 302.

apparently from records its to a tempo. I'm getting a motorcraft for sure. I'll look for that part underneath airbox. Any other parts to replace?

Nope, just the breather filter. You might want to get some brake cleaner or some sort of cleaner to clear out that hose from the valve cover to the air filter box so you will see whether or not it is still blowing oil.
