Default Weird electrical problem....

I stopped to get gas tonight, left my truck running (in neutral) with the headlights on, and noticed that my reverse lights were on. I was like wtf? I open the door and wiggle my shifter and they didn't go off. The reverse lights stay on UNTILL I turn the headlights off. I didn't want my truck to look like a POS, so I turned the headlights off with the truck still running, when I walked in to pay for my gas. When got back in my truck, I turned my headlights back on, and the reverse lights didn't come on, so I said screw it. Before I even pulled out of the parking lot, I looked in my side mirror, and they was back on!!! I drove 20 miles tonight to work and they was on the whole time lol Where I have clear tail lights, the reverse lights were blinding the people behind me. I made it to work and backed into my parking spot, shut the truck off, and waited about 10 mins. I went back out, started the truck, turned the headlights on, and the reverse lights didn't come on like they was, but I know they'll come back on again. Any ideas???

you said you have clear tail lights
if they are aftermarket did you install them or get the truck with them already on
either way i would check to see if a wire is loose and causeing the tail lights wire to
cross over the reverse and causeing them to turn on

maybe you should try and put the truck in reverse with lights off and see if the tail lights come on with the reverse lights

Throw it away, get a new truck. lol

Does it do it with the headlights on or the parking lights? It should be with the parking lights because it would have to be pretty bad to happen when the headlights are on.
