Default Vinyl headlight tints?

I absolutely hate Hate HATE the stupid looking stock headlights on these 8th gens that the aftermarket doesn't have alternative for!

Anyways, I do not want to niteshade my heads. Mainly because it always seems to crack on headlights, it fades, and I'm also stupidly picky on my light output and don't want anything irreversible that I already know is going to cut down on it. HID off road lights are coming soon so I'm ok with reduced headlight output.

So has anyone ever used any of the vinyl tint films from ebay or anything? I'm trying to figure if they are even worth a shot or not.

I've already "smoked" them once but it was extremely temporary, panty hose haha. But I like the look a lot

I really don't understand how there's so many projector headlight and clear halogen headlight options for the 9th gen, and not a single headlight option for the 8th

I also saw the vinyl tint when I was looking for tails. Definitely interested but would like to see someone's thoughts on it first.

I don't know because I haven't really done much research on the pre-1992 models, but are there Any aftermarket Front Turn signals for you're guys' trucks? The stock just looks bulky and weird. As in they should be recessed some more or something. They just stick out there like my g/f's ***.

I'm not a big fan though of the blacked out/smoked headlight look. Probably from being over the road truck driver and Chrome being my favorite color. Thereofre it's a biased opinion! lol

It does suck. So I'm trying to get creative

I'm gonna lay some window tint over it thursday just to see what it'll look like. If the window tint (static cling) looks good then I'll pull the trigger on the actual head light stuff.

I'd put chrome headlights if I could, but I can't. Everything else on the truck is chrome but the wheels and grille interior.

And there are some aftermarket clear turn signals, but they have a clear lens and look retarded with the refractor style one that is on the headlight...

Finished tinting my windows and then throw some on the lights just for sh*ts and giggles. Came away with something very important. I don't think it looks very good. The dark lens to the chrome bezel is too much. It looked better in panty hose because the chrome also darkened. I think it's just way too much contrast

You mean like my tail lights? (No runs, drips, cracks etc. Still perfect 11 months later)

I've only seen the headlights crack with niteshades, but I'm not going that route because I just don't want to do anything permanent for now. After I build my lightbar I may niteshade them. HIDs run a lot cooler so we'll see

Is It the heat that cracks them? Or just to thick of paint
