Default Unknown Sensor

Hey gang! Hoping you can help me with this. I have a 1994 F150 4X4 with the 5.0. On the passenger side of the block, just above the oil pan and by the starter is (what I am assuming) a sensor. It seems to be dripping antifreeze. Does anyone know what this is? I've looked online and in my shop manual but can't figure out what it is. I've included an image. Any ideas or thoughts will be appreciated.

If I remember right, it had two or three wires going into it. Too dark to go look now. I tried to trace it but it pretty much just joins up with some other wires and heads up towards the top part of the engine compartment.

My truck has the standard guages. I would doubt an engine block heater as I don't even see the remnants of a place to plug it in.

You say.It seems to be dripping antifreeze.do u still have the original engine temp. sending unit on top of engine, or oil pressure sending unit on driver side by oil filter.I check some of my books , hope i can find something.

On second opinion, I'm thinking it is an engine block heater. I did some looking around online at ebay and other parts places with genuine Ford parts and the block heaters that they show are the spitting image of what I thought was a sensor. That would explain why it would leak coolant. I wonder where it connect to a power cord?

I guess I'll just live with it until it's time to change the coolant and then pull the leaky thing out and put in a new plug to replace it.

Thanks for the help and ideas!

Better change all the freeze plugs. They're all the same age. Use brass.
