Stock base time is 10BTDC. (w/ SPOUT plug removed)

The timing is still adjustable on the 96s? I've got a 97 with the old body style and a 351 and I can't adjust it. No spout, timing marks and still has a dizzy. Any thoughts?

I'm out of my element w/ OBD2's. As far as I know, to allow a manual advance of base time for the purpose we're discussing, you need a distributor & SPOUT circuit w/ disconnect.
