There are no stock gaskets anywhere in there. The manifolds have a donut shape fitting thats part of the manifold steel, and it couples to the ypipe on hopes and dreams. So try unbolting both sides of the Y, and reset it up there tightening the nuts evenly.
There are no gaskets between the mani and head either, so you probably have a leak there. It'll be obvious when (if) you remove them

The truck doesn't make the sound unless it's under load. you won't hear it at idle or just revving up the engine.

what are you calling the y-pipe? I"m pretty sure what you call the y-pipe I'm calling the downpipe... there was no actual 2 in, 1 out y-pipe stock on the truck when I got it. the front cat was 2 in, 1 out.

do you feel like the truck isnt as powerful as it could be? possibly having to do with the exhaust leak?

yeah the truck feels like a bit of a slug sometimes, especially when cold, but I suspect that is more due to old plugs/wires although who knows

My truck is doing the same thing. Only ticks under load or after I've been driving and sit at idle. I'm not sure what it is yet (thinking injector) and have had ZERO response on my thread "noisy injector". Thinking I may have to turn to another forum for some answers! :-(

I don't get stuck. I just lose traction and stop moving!

I really doubt an exhaust leak has anything to do with the power loss, but I'll be ordering an exhaust gasket set from rockauto with my next batch of parts so we'll see if anything improves

You need to find out for sure if it is your injector ticking. You can replace them one at a time and it wont hurt anything. I responded to your post and you tried the Seafoam which did not work. Get a stethoscope and find the tick before doing anything else.

Exhaust will cause some power loss but not a lot. If you have a big power loss you have something else wrong as well man.
