throttle positioning sensor-throttle-body-pic.jpg
You can kinda see my hand in the back behind hoses and stuff trying to point to the welded part... it's that metal tube in the middle of the picture that is screw band clamped to the hose. That tube is welded directly to the throttle body. kind of hard to get a piture of it... did my best. hope this helps

I think I see what you're pointing at

Is it the tube just below the TPS in this pic? (Not my pic, just pulled it off Google.)

If it breaks your not screwed just disconnect the loop that the water cycles in there. You will not stop the cooling process on the engine. Mine went bad about 6mo ago and i shoved a bolt in each end of the hose, I'm sure i'm gonna get a lot of crap for saying that but oh well. Just my opinion

Hey yeah, exactly. went to my local dealer part store and they cant find it. they said the TB itself is obsolete which is what my mechanic said too... that is weird though cause I sem to have found alot online like here for example http://www.jegs.com/i/BBK/129/3503/1...FWQ6Qgodtw4Asw here is the part number f4tz9e926b if that helps. I think that number is for the whole throttle body itself, not just that tube. the guy behind the counter thinks it might be jb welded cause its was loose or cracked in worse case scenario. He thinks it just slips into a hole in the TB. any one have anymore info on this? if this is the case i could most likely find a piece of metal tubing to fit in there if it breaks off.

Do I have to take the TB off to change the sensor? or can I do it without removal?
thanks everyone

I think ur making a mountain out of a mole hill. Cut the hose just below the clamp, and take the tb off so you can get a better look at it. If it breaks doing that, it would have never lasted long any ways. Just like Lvsmustang said you can just plug it, if it breaks. Did u go to the junk yard today? Taking a cab or a bus to work for a couple of days can be done also if your not to far away.

right in the middle of taking the TB off. Just a quick question. do you take the TB all the way off? are there any hoses i need to avoid unscrewing. I cant really unscrew the sensor cause theres alot of sh*t in the way

you can take it all the way off and pull it out, clean it while its out too. Disconnect anything in the way, just make sure to plug it back in.
