So my extended cab short box frame is cracked and twisted now... So I was wondering how hard it would be to take a single cab long box and switch it. Looking to maybe upgrade the frame to a 250. The body's too straight to junk it. What steps are required ? What's your input. Here's a couple pictures of condition of body

you again...lol

you would have to fab up some new mounts for a normal can lb to work, plus the frame is to short i believe (to long or short, cant remember) alot of work IMO. it would be much easier to find the right frame.

i hope i understood what you were asking.

Yep just silly old me with my horrible luck. I'm thinking that way I would make my dream truck and could truly say it's mine. Maybe I will pull out the tape when I get home and measure off the old mans 88 single cab long box. I forsure haven't seen many f250 short boxes around town

wouldn't wana cut 1 up anyway, ext cab short bed 250s are somewhat rare.

but why not get a f150 frame and upgrade the susp? the frames are the same except for the frame horns.

Pretty sure the frames are the same length. I know my regular cab longbed has an extended cab shortbed driveshaft under it.

so lol, alot easier then trying to get a ext cab short bed to fit on a lb norm cab frame lol. plus you can probably find a 150 cheaper then a 250 and save yourself some cash.

I would break out a tape measure before laying out any cash.
