Default Swapping cabs

So I have a 92 f150 flare side manual tranny, and I have a broken drivers side front can mount, also some other rust patches on the cab, I am buying another 92 f150 except this one is automatic, I'm hoping to swap the two cabs and was wondering what kind of advice or helpful tips I could get before undertaking this

buy new body mounts from summit, they're under 50 bucks. get new cab mounting bolts and cut a hole for the shifter to come through the floor board. also to make the job easier it would be smart to just take out all the interior before you get started

Well you would have to save your wiring from the manual. Pull the wiring from the auto. Switch the steering columns(huge pain in the ***). Take the clutch assembly and mounts and what not out of the manual and mount in the auto. Rewire the cab. And see if everything works.

What's wrong with the other truck that you just can't use it?

this is what im dealing with its cheaper to just repair it for about 300 bucks and some welding practice you will save your self a big head ache although getting a clean cab for patch panels is not bad if you can swing it
i have holes on both sides like this and a 2 1/2 foot hole under the drivers side nothing some sheet metal wont fix I will be documenting the entire patch up this august or September its going to be fuunn!!

unless you have a tractor or something to lift the cab 5 feet off the ground it will be a big pita for you. just to pull the cab you have to remove the front clip.

I lifted my Pontiac off the frame by myself with a floor jack, blocks and 2x4s.

Well we were thinking of using my friends f350 and an h frame to lift it but a couple people in Timmins think I'm a fool for attempting this
