Default Starting and running issue?

I had a broken EGR tube replaced it today everything is back together and the truck runs great until we put the hose back on from the air box to the throttle body then it starts running like crap and stalls out. Any ideas? It's a 302 5.0 single outta the air box to double at the throttle body.

Is the tube clogged or blocked?

Negative. The truck starts, runs, and idles fine with it off and as soon as we put it on it starts chocking it out and stalls. I'm stumped!

It seems something is restricting the airflow. Maybe you should check for codes.

Put the air box back on throttle body without air filter. What happens?

Also, stupid idea, but try resetting computer too. Do you have MAF or MAP system? What year is truck? EGR solenoid ok? You can check by seeing if when you pull vacuum line and put your thumb on it there should be no vacuum until about 1500 rpm or so.

It's a 5.0 MAF I tried pulling the filter and starting it just chugs and stalls. What's the possibility it has anything to do with the Cat Con? Mine, 96 has 2.

sounds like it has something to do with your mass air flow sensor.
