startin issues

jus pulled the wire an it was still engaged so ima run to the parts store

with the new one on it did the same thing i shimmed it pretty good too

You shimmed the solenoid? That was what you needed to replace.

i shimmed the starter to try an move it back to help it disengage. i replaced the soleniod twice with the same result each time.

Yes, but have you replaced it since the last beating you gave it? If unplugging the start wire didn't make it stop and whacking it didn't either then it is fused together inside.

i jus replaced it again today an a guy a work suggested the key switch an it still does it.

You installed the new solenoid, hooked up the battery and it immediately started cranking? Or you had to turn the key and it stuck? Work with me here.

the key was out of the igniton solenoid got stuck an it was tryin to start itself. now i got a new solenoid an that problem is solved. when its running the starter motor is still spinning like its not disengaging. i now have a new solenoid starter an ignition switch. i was told ith ignition switch was bad an makin it spin the starter still so i replaced it an its still makin it spin

you haven't by any chance reversed the 2 positive and negative wires going to the solenoid have you? Just asking cause I've seen it done

i hooked it up exactly as i took it off. if im facing my solenoid on the right terminal is the positive that goes to the batt along with 4 or 5 small wires. the left terminal goes down to the 3/8 bolt on the starter an the negative is grounded to the bottom starter bolt.
