50 bucks is a steal if its in decent shape and the same gear ratio as your rear axle. this is a copy and paste from a guy i was PM'ing about the same thing for my truck.

or is that just wishful thinking haha.

Well its pretty much bolt in if you have all the stuff from the 78-79 f150. Axle, radius arms and brackets, steering components, coils, coil buckets and shocks.

hope this helps!

1 thing that a lot of people dont understand about te swap is that according 2 Wat people think normally u need at least 4 inches of lift ... I just helped my good friend do the same swap and we r doin ok with bout 3 inches of lift achieved my custom brackets I made for him but wen we flex out the suspension it gets scary close 2contacting stuff I would strongly suggest getting about 4 inches of suspension lift not body

Or chopping off part of your cross member and breaching it with plate steel

Yeah I saw RC sells a 4" lift and skyjacker sells a wide range as well. Didn't see any from pro comp. the axle has all the steering, brakes, and radius arms and brackets. Now with the 4" lift you won't need drop brackets?

TTB suspension uses the cross member as one of its main supports and goes strait through it for the driver side beam. so cut those sides off and put a piece of like 1/4 inch plate on the bottom to keep the strength and have more room to work with

Is a great deal for 50, even if the gears aren't the ones you want. I paid 260 for mine but the gear set I wanted was in there. Get as many attaching parts as you can, especially the RAs and caps, if you can get the buckets, tie rod drag link and track bar get them. Even if you don't use them you can always sell or scrap.

There are a ton of threads over on Full Size Bronco with guys doing SAS swaps. Lots of great info there

So much fail in this thread.

Only person who said some good stuff is 5rangers.

Cutting the crossmember will achieve NOTHING because it's only about 2" from the oil pan.

You can't use TTB springs or lift kit springs on a straight axle. Well, you can, but it will ride like ****.

You have 2 choices. Convert the axle to leaf spring, box the front of your frame and put it in.

Or get some radius arms that fit that axle and put it up under there with the proper springs. Yes you will need 4+" of lift to keep from putting the pumpkin into the oil pan,
