Default Seized engine?

After about a week of it being parked, I went to start my truck and all I got was a click. I also noticed that one of my RFI strap had burned and melted. I checked my battery cables and found out that my negative battery cable was in bad shape and so I replaced it. It was corroded and frayed where it connects to the frame. Unfortunately it still doesn’t start. The starter engages the flywheel but will not turn over the engine. The battery, solenoid, starter, and battery cables are all ok. I removed the belt and a spark plug to try and turn the engine over by hand. It won’t budge. I’m fearing the worst. It was running fine when I last parked it. Any thoughts?

Did you use a socket and a breaker bar on the bolt on the front of the crankshaft when you tried to turn it by hand?

You removed “a” spark plug or all of them. If you just removed one you could still be fighting compression. It’s often hard to get on a bolt on the front of the engine and get a good pull.

Engines just don't 'seize' simply after parking...only time I've seen something like this was when there was major damage to a cylinder head or CH gasket that allowed the cylinders to fill with coolant. Did you have any indication of a problem prior to parking it?

I know that its a bit of a long shot, but have you tried putting the trans in neutral when you attempt to turn it over? A torque converter seizing up while sitting is super unlikely, but i mean so is a motor locking up out of nowhere.
