Friend of mine has a 1990 f150. fuel pump on the front tank went.
Can we use the front fuel pump from an 88 f150?

'88 is a low pressure tank pump, while '90 is a high pressure tank pump.

No it has a low pressure in the tank and a high pressure pump on the frame rail
